Scooti was in the control room when the [[Tenth Doctor|Tenth Doctor]] and [[Rose Tyler|Rose]] first arrived during a quake. When she was introduced, she shot the travellers a warm smile. She briefly went outside to fix something and then watched the Scarlett system get eaten.

Scooti went to [[Toby Zed]]'s room to give him his expenditure, leaving the file on his desk as he was not there. The base's computer informed her that someone was on the surface. No space suits had been logged out so Scooti surmised that this was impossible. Looking outside she saw Toby in the thrall of [[the Beast]]. He beckoned her to join him but she refused. Angered he broke the base's protective glass and Scooti was sucked into the [[vacuum]] where she died. The remaining crew saw her body as it floated past the base. Scooti then ran out of Door 40 and immediately went over to a panel by door 41 and activated the computer. She quickly asked the computer if it opened and closed door 41, to which it confirmed her worries. Confused, Scooti if someone had gone out, which was confirmed. She asked who had gone out, but the computer did not know. Scooti then asked whose spacesuit had been logged out, but it said none had been taken. Scooti activated her radio watch to report that the door was malfunctioning, but it crackled up and died. Scooti asked the computer what was wrong with the radio, to which the computer calmly told her nothing was wrong with it. Scooti yelled at the door to tell her who went outside, however, it responded with "He is Awake". Scooti, became disturbed and asked the door what that meant, to which it replied "He bathes in the black sun". The frightened young woman backed away and stared at the door.

Down the hall a shutter opened to the outside. Curious, Scooti walked over to it by the time it was fully open. There, to her shock, Scooti discovered a possessed Toby without a spacesuit standing unharmed on the exposed surface of [[Krop Tor]]. Her eyes widened in shock at this new development. Toby then smiled at her and motioning her forward. She raised her arm as if hypnotised, but then broke free and told him to stop. Toby, now angry, clenched his fist and began breaking the glass. With a gasp Scooti raced for the door but Toby had [[telepathy|telepathically]] locked the doors. Scooti screamed desperately for the door to open. However her pleas went unanswered and Toby smashed the window, opening the section to space. The screaming Scooti was sucked backwards to her death in the vacuum of space. Scootori Manista was a 20-year-old trainee maintenance officer posted on Sanctuary Base 6.

Biography

Scooti met the Tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler when they first arrived at the base. Scooti went to Toby Zed's room to give him his expenditure, leaving the file on his desk as he was not there. The base's computer informed her that someone was on the surface. No space suits had been logged out so Scooti surmised that this was impossible.
