Clive Swift (born 9th February 1936) played Bayldon Copper in Voyage of the Damned and Jobel in Revelation of the Daleks. He is best known for his role as Richard, long-suffering husband of Hyacinthe Bucket, in the popular BBC comedy Keeping Up Appearances. Swift also played Sir Hector, Arthur's adopted father, in John Boorman's 1981 film Excalibur.
Benjamin Cook interviewed Swift about Mr. Copper and Voyage of the Damned for Doctor Who Magazine. During the course of the interview Swift questioned Cook's journalism credentials, dismissed questions, and commented on not being paid to participate. Swift cut off Cook's final question and terminated the interview with the remark that "I know that you all think that this is a big world, this Who business. But it isn't. There are much bigger things than this."[1]
