Arthur Darvill (born Thomas Arthur Darvill in 1982) is an English actor born in Birmingham, the UK's second city. He played Rory Williams, Amy Pond's fiancé and eventual husband as well as an Auton duplicate of the same character, created by the Nestene Consciousness. He appeared in series 5 alongside Matt Smith's Doctor. He also narrated the BBC audio adventure Ring of Steel. He was later added to the opening credits as a regular for series 6 staring with A Christmas Carol.
