What if... River Song is actually a future incarnation of The Doctor? She certainly behaves a lot like him, has great knowledge of things, can fly the Tardis and loves to get involved in adventures. Two incarnations of the doctor were already seen in that Children in Need special. Granted, this theory seems a bit far fetched though since they appear to be romantically linked. I think that river song is... Lucy saxon. Heres why: if it was lucy then the best man she ever knew was the master, bang goes a gun and he dies. She then proceeds to disturd his ressurection.

River says the doctor didnt teach her to fly the tardis, but in sound of the drums the master had it and flew it. he may well have taught her to fly it.
