Margaret 'Maggie' Hopley was a young woman whose husband, Brian Hopley, had died in a car crash. She went to a rooftop to commit suicide and as Owen Harper walked on the street below, a photograph of Maggie and her husband fell to the ground. Owen went to the rooftop to talk her out of killing herself. He told her about himself being dead and how he went to retrieve The Pulse from Henry Parker. Owen showed Maggie the Pulse 'singing' and eventually talked her out of suicide, Owen reflecting that life couldn't be that bad if it could provide something as beautiful as the Pulse.
