The Squall were an alien race from another dimension.

Biology

The Squall are humanoid, stand on hind legs and have an angular body. Beneath their arms are fleshy membranes which hang loose, like wings. Their face is hidoeous, with an upturned snout and a mouth with sharp teeth. Their body is entirely hairless with red eyes. They are similar in look to a gargoyle. The Squall have a hive mind. They can be hurt by different signals, such as those from the sonic screwdriver, but can easily adapt to them. (NSA: Paradox Lost)

Abilities

The Squall are mind parasites who can suck the memories out of humans in seconds, leaving their victim dead and weeping blood. They talk in unison, finishing off each others sentences. For every mind they consume, they grow stronger and bigger, and the information is sent to the Hive, in another dimension. They can also suck whole worlds dry, leaving a foothold in the universe. Because of the hive mind, they can adapt to all forms of attack. (NSA: Paradox Lost)

History

The Squall discovered a hole torn in space by an experimental and dangerous time ship on Earth, in 1910. They flew through the dimension tear and started sucking the memories out of people, blamed at the time as the work of a serial killer. The hole was found eventually, and they were forced back into their home dimension. (NSA: Paradox Lost)
