Tarpok was a member of a Silurian Triad which included Icthar and Scibus. In 2084 they attempted to take over Sea Base 4 and start a nuclear war which would wipe out humanity, but were defeated by the Fifth Doctor. Tarpok died from exposure to hexachromite gas. (DW: Warriors of the Deep)
