Alexander Siddig (born 21st November 1965), is a Sudanese-born English actor, and is also known as Siddig El Fadil. He voiced the character of Rosto in two consecutive Big Finish Productions audio dramas, Sisters of the Flame and The Vengeance of Morbius, both part of the New Eighth Doctor Adventures.
Siddig is also one of few actors who have appeard in both Doctor Who and Star Trek productions, as he is best known for portraying Dr. Julian Bashir in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and for a time was married to -- and had a child with -- his co-star, Nana Visitor. One of the first DS9 episodes to focus on the character of Bashir, Melora, paired Sidding with guest star Daphne Ashbrook, who also appeared opposite the Eighth Doctor when she played Grace Holloway in the 1996 TV Movie. More recently, Siddig guest-starred in the BBC Wales-produced series Merlin.
