Clahow was the home world of bird-people whose birdsong could be more devastating than a cannon if they wished. The birds were able to communicate with other species with the aid of some sort of universal translator. They were aided in the fight against the arrival of a Rezyar robot warship in the sky, first by Georges Guynemer (who along with his First World War plane also arrived through a space-time rift) and the Doctor.
