The first series of Torchwood ran betwen 22nd October 2006 and 1st January 2007. The series ties into Series 1 and Sereis 3 with references to the Bad Wolf meme and to Harold Saxon. Most of the stories are contempory, but the series does delve into flashbakcs and the occasional time travel adventures centred mainly around Jack Harkness. It featured 13-50 minuite episodes, and consistend of the following stories:

- Cyberwoman
- Small Worlds
- Countrycide
- Greeks Bearing Gifts
- They Keep Killing Suzie
- Random Shoes
- Out of Time
- Combat
- Captain Jack Harkness
- End of Days
The last two episodes, Captain Jack Harkness and End of Days, were first shown as a double bill, with the end credits merged and shown at the end of the second episode.
