Terry Nation was born on the 8th August 1930 in Wales, UK. He was a writer on Doctor Who and well remembered as the creator of the Daleks. He died of emphysema on the 9th March, 1997 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
In subsequent TV stories he has been credited as the creator of the Daleks (in on-screen credits).
