A vulgle was a species of lqrge bird, which appeared to be a cross between a vulture and an eagle.
A vulgle was kept in a zoo on Earth in the 22nd century. At that facility, the Tenth Doctor was once surrounded by escaped lions whilst tackling a Dalek incursion. He managed to escape on the back of the vulgle. The Dalek who was trying to transport the Krikoosh by containment field was slowed to the point that the vugle could keep pace.
