Arthur Pinero was a playwright. While investigating the death of Richard Harries, Ian Stratford felt as if he was trapped in one of Pinero's plays. He could not decide whether the situation was most like The Magistrate or The Second Mrs Tanqueray. (EDA: The Banquo Legacy)
