What a Lovely War, Battle of Britain, the lead role in a 1970 TV adaptation of Jane Eyre, and many appearances in Armchair Theatre. Science fiction and fantasy fans, however, remember her best as Lara in Superman (which also featured William Russell) and Superman II. She was one of the few Oscar-nominated actresses to appear in a Doctor Who production.
