Shokesh was a tourist-based planet.
Shokesh was a desert planet located in a system with particularly dense asteroid belt. This meant that spaceships were damaged and crashed into Shokesh. The natives took advantage of this and built the civilisation out of the remains of these crashed ships. It soon grew into a bustling civilisation, focused around dealing with tourists who came to see it. As such, the civilisation was a blending of many other civilisations, exotic enough to be interesting and mundane enough to be familiar. As well, everyday there were tourists, there was a festival, sometimes several at the same time.
The Titanian Queen made a stop at Shokesh to visit the civilisation. (BNA: Ship of Fools)
