Appealing Animals in Distress was one of the television shows developed by Beep the Meep to attract an audience so he could take control of them with Beep and Friends. It was filmed at a local pet sanctuary and showcased cute animals like kittens, hamsters, bunny rabbits, puppies and guinea pigs. When the Sixth Doctor threatened him with a laser pistol, Beep showed a live feed of the sanctuary and threatened to kill them all with poisonous gas.
