Elvis Aron Presley (1935-1977), known simply as Elvis and also marketed as "The King of Rock 'n' Roll" or "The King", was an American singer and actor.
The Doctor and Rose Tyler attempted to travel to 1956 to see him perform on The Ed Sullivan Show in New York, but mistakenly landed in London just before the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. (The Idiot's Lantern)
