Tenniel Evans (17 May 1926-10 June 2009) played Major Daly in DW: Carnival of Monsters.
Outside of Doctor Who, he was probably best known for his sitcom work. This included playing ship's lookout Taffy Goldstein in the long-running BBC radio comedy series The Navy Lark, which also starred Jon Pertwee. When Patrick Troughton died, Evans took over his role in the ITV sitcom The Two of Us.
