He has, however, worked steadily from 1967 to at least 2011, landing roles on shows like: The Hour; Life on Mars, with John Simm: Our Friends in the North, with Christopher Eccleston; All Creatures Great and Small, with Peter Davison; The Duchess of Duke Street; Z-Cars; and Take Three Girls.
He has also had roles in the high-profile films Gandhi and For Your Eyes Only.
