Captain Erisa Magambo was a female officer working with UNIT in the early 21st century.

History

In April 2009 her UNIT command were sent on site after the Number 200 Bus had vanished into a wormhole. She, and Malcolm Taylor were called by the Tenth Doctor. He warned UNIT of an alien swarm intent on coming to Earth via the wormhole. She ordered Malcolm to close it, though the Doctor and the bus passengers would be trapped on the other side. When Malcolm refused, she held him at gunpoint and insisted he close it.

The Doctor got the bus back to safety. Malcolm closed the wormhole. Three of the Swarm got through the wormhole. Magambo and her command fired on them and dispatched all three. She thanked the Doctor and gave him his TARDIS, UNIT had found it in Buckingham Palace's garden. (DW: Planet of the Dead)

Later that same year, she asked the recently married Martha Smith-Jones to have the Doctor investigate mysterious trees in Greenwich Park. She refused to listen to the Doctor, and followed the deranged Advocate's advice instead, which would involve blowing up London. Fortunately the Doctor foiled her mad plan. He called Magambo and UNIT "typical military". She angrily told him that if that's how he felt, to leave Earth not come back until he changed his face again, because his current one has worn out its welcome. The Doctor and Martha furiously turned their backs on her after these events, causing the Doctor's faith in UNIT to be shaken to some extent.(IDW: Don't Step on the Grass)

In November 2009, Magambo arranged for Jack Harkness to discover the cause of the time fissure occurring in Cardiff. (TWN: The Undertaker's Gift)

In 2013, Magambo was in charge of the clean-up operation after the Nestene invasion of Hyperville. (NSA: Autonomy)

Alternate Timeline

In an alternate timeline, Captain Magambo was in charge of a special division of UNIT. She was part of the operation to remove the Time Beetle on Donna Noble's back, and with the help of Rose Tyler, send Donna back in time to prevent the events which would result in the Doctor's death and worldwide disasters.
