Under Reykjavik was a Brief Encounter short story printed in DWM 174.
Summary
Romana tries to add a new piece of equipment to the TARDIS. It shorts out, landing the TARDIS in Magnus Greel's bunker. They have a brief conversation, which covers time travel. As she departs he begins to seriously consider it as a method of escape.
Characters
- Jacked into the TARDIS a G129AT ordnance unit, which shorted out some old wire in the TARDIS, landing her in Greel's bunker.
- It is early in Greel's dictatorship.
- Someone of the 20th century might describe Greel as a 'psychotic deviant'.
- Most likely has cannibalistic tendencies (he contemplates slaughtering, cooking and eating Romana).
References
- Magnus Greel's bunker is below the Supreme Alliance in Iceland.
- The TARDIS Cloister bell is ringing because it thinks it's under attack by the Pus Creatures of Rakos.
- The Doctor is asleep.
- Dr. Findecker is doing research into time travel involving the double nexus particle.
- Romana gives Greel a card for a plastic surgeon in 1998, which sets him thinking about the 1890s.
