Under Reykjavik was a Brief Encounter short story printed in DWM 174.

Summary

Romana tries to add a new piece of equipment to the TARDIS. It shorts out, landing the TARDIS in Magnus Greel's bunker. They have a brief conversation, which covers time travel. As she departs he begins to seriously consider it as a method of escape.

Characters

  • Jacked into the TARDIS a G129AT ordnance unit, which shorted out some old wire in the TARDIS, landing her in Greel's bunker. She eventually repairs the TARDIS with the use of an old tiepin belonging to the Doctor.
  • It is early in Greel's dictatorship.
  • Someone of the 20th century might describe Greel as a 'psychotic deviant'.
  • Most likely has cannibalistic tendencies (he contemplates slaughtering, cooking and eating Romana).
