General Staal is a Sontaran general of The 10th Sontaran Battle Fleet that invaded London in 2009. He calls himself "Staal the Undefeated". He has a great love of warfare and regrets that his race were not involved in the Last Great Time War which he considers one the universe's greatest wars. He forges an alliance with Luke Rattigan to aid the Sontaran conquest of Earth though whether he will betray Luke remains to be seen.
