Fireball XL5 was a song. Frobisher sang it to annoy Professor Strut, a hater of music. (COMIC: The Gift)
I wish I was a spaceman, the fastest guy alive! I'd fly around the universe in Fireball XL5.
Behind the scenes
- Barry Gray composed this theme song to the Century 21 Productions show of the same name. Century 21's music label issued this song on a record that also included a version of the Doctor Who theme.
- Dennis Spooner wrote for two episodes of the series and Alan Fennell wrote for eleven.
- David Graham voiced the character Lt. 90.
- When the comic appeared in TV Comic, it was written by Fennell with art by Neville Main. Later rights to publish comics were transferred to TV Century 21. Faux news-blurbs printed on the last panel of each page of The Dalek Chronicles were often connected to the Firebird XL5 comic and remained intact on some of Marvel Comics' reprints.
