The Temporal stabiliser was a device that was essential when operating a space-time machine. The temporal stabiliser was used by the Time Lords, (DW: Planet of Fire) the Daleks (BFA: The Time of the Daleks) and the Korven. (K9TV: Angel of the North, The Eclipse of the Korven)
History
Korven used temporal stabilisers in the Space-Time Manipulators on their ships, one of which crashed on Earth before 2050. The Department salvaged technology from the site of the crash in Canada. The STM was taken to Gryffen Manor in London so their expert, Professor Alistair Gryffen, could study it. However, they had missed the stabiliser and it remained in the ship. After activity at the crash site caused disturbance in the STM, Gryffen went there with Thorne to get the STM. Despite a Korven attack, Gryffen took it back to the Manor. (K9TV: Angel of the North) Gryffen refused to use it on the STM lest the Korven be allowed through. However, when a strange phenomenon in the STM threatened the Earth, Gryffen was forced to use it, allowing the Korven vanguard led by Lomax through. Gryffen got to the Millennium Dome and terminated the STM. (K9TV: The Eclipse of the Korven)
