- 20th August - Ace is born.
- Unknown date - Charles, Prince of Wales, meets Camilla Shand (later Parker Bowles) for the first time, launching an on-again, off-again relationship that would last for years until they finally married in 2005. Camilla became known among the British populace as the "other woman" behind the breakdown of Charles' marriage to Princess Diana in the 1990s, leading Rose Tyler to later compare her to Madame de Pompadour (DW: The Girl in the Fireplace).
- Unknown dates - The Doctor, having recently regenerated for a second time, arrives on Earth to begin his exile (per DW: The War Games). Initially amnesiac and under suspicion by UNIT and The Brigadier, the Doctor soon regains his memory earns their trust by helping thwart the first Auton invasion. Afterwards, he signs on as UNIT's scientific advisor, gains a new assistant in Liz Shaw, and also takes possession of Bessie. (DW: Spearhead from Space)
