The Mayans were a Native American human ethnic group native to current-day Mexico. They were known to have cutting edge technology for their day, enough to even challenge that of the Aztecs.
History
Early in Mayan History, the Monarch and other Urbankans abducted a Mayan princess named Villagra and several others on their second trip to Earth. They brought them back to Urbanka and converted them to androids. In the many years that followed, the Mayan androids had to entertain the Urbankans as long as they were kept prisoner. However, Villagra vowed never to speak until she was reunited with her people. (Four to Doomsday)
Historically, the Mayan civilisation did not exist until 300 AD. It is possible that the Urbankans only abducted the ancestors of current-day Mayans.
