In the Perfect Timing short story One Perfect Twilight, the Ooolatrii were one of the earliest civilisations in the universe. They became extinct when the Xeraphin, whom they intended to conquer with their robots, seized control of the robots and turned them against their creators. Kamelion was the sole surviving creation of the Ooolatrii.
