Commander Lerox was a Sontaran serving on the mining vessel Betrothal of Sontar on the planet Serac.
Lerox was not like other Sontarans. For one thing, he had a conscience and he saw Colonel Snathe's plan as completely mad. This was proven correct when he and Rose found a shrine constructed in Snathe's quarters. He defended Rose from the other Sontarans who attempted to shoot her and he didn't enjoy hunting the Inuks like the other Sontarans did. He also showed a respect for females and a disgust of cold-blooded murder. (DWM: The Betrothal of Sontar)
