Colonel Hugh Curbishly was a war hero married to Lady Clemency Eddison, with a fondness for can-can girls. The Colonel's son Roger was having a secret affair with a butler called Davenport, but Hugh knew.
Unfortunatly for Lady Eddison and the Colonel their son was murdered while having supper. It later revealed that Hugh could walk and was faking disability because he didn't want Clemency to leave him for another man. (DW: The Unicorn and the Wasp)
