Rob was a friend of Heather McCrimmon and a very close friend of Suze. All three investigated strange sounds underneath London. It all became too much for Rob and Suze as they ran from the sounds that led to Heather's meeting the Tenth Doctor. (DWA: The Chromosome Connection)

Reuniting

Rob and Heather were reunited when she returned to Edinburgh, keen to catch up with old friends, but Rob was too busy with university to spend time with her. (DWA: The Genius Trap)
