The merge proposal makes sense on its face, but there's a complication: [[Jean-Luc Picard]] treats the character as an actual person who interacts with the Doctor and his friends, but [[Jean Luc Picard]] treats the character as a fictional character within the ''Doctor Who'' universe. Now, I haven't read ''[[Syntax (short story)|Syntax]]'', so I don't know whether it uses the unhyphenated spelling (which is technically incorrect, but that's neither here nor there). But if it does, it might be handy to have separate articles, each linked to the other (as at [[Star Trek]] and [[Star Trek (franchise)]]). Can someone who has the relevant ''Short Trips'' volume check the spelling, please? —[[User:Josiah Rowe|Josiah Rowe]] [[User talk:Josiah Rowe|talk to me]] 00:43, June 30, 2012 (UTC)

Oopsy! I've just double checked ''Syntax'' and it is spelt Jean-Luc. Sorry for the confusion there, I was editing from memory at the time. --[[User:Revanvolatrelundar|Revan]]\[[User_talk:Revanvolatrelundar|Talk]] 15:48, July 1, 2012 (UTC)

The merge proposal makes sense on its face, but there's a complication: Jean-Luc Picard treats the character as an actual person who interacts with the Doctor and his friends, but Jean Luc Picard treats the character as a fictional character within the Doctor Who universe. Now, I haven't read Syntax, so I don't know whether it uses the unhyphenated spelling (which is technically incorrect, but that's neither here nor there). But if it does, it might be handy to have separate articles, each linked to the other (as at Star Trek and Star Trek (franchise)).
