Makron was a Shoaly on the planet Hydron. He was a low swimmer who helped the Eleventh Doctor and Amy when they were searching underwater inside The Verne. His father was a member of the assembly in Reef, the capital city. He was given, by the Doctor, a translating device that would help him speak to the humans. (NSA: The Underwater War)
