Trask (real name Kristopher Patrick Englund) was an individual who represented the Celestis' interests at an auction for the Relic in the Zone on Earth during the late 21st century. When he attended the auction he was dead, re-animated by the Celestis to attend the auction. When he saw the Doctor, Trask remembered the Doctor had killed him by drowning, though the Shift later admitted that it had altered Trask's memory to be more "dramatic."
Trask was Willie Mackay's partner in smuggling weapons from France to Scotland during the Jacobite Rebellion. He betrayed Mackay to the Government Army and seized control of his ship, the Annabelle. Trask became part of Grey's slave-trading ring, and took prisoners on board for transporting to Caribbean plantations. With the Second Doctor's help, the prisoners rose up against Trask and threw him overboard. (DW: The Highlanders)

Trask made a deal with Qixotl following the inconclusive end of the auction's proceedings to take the Relic back to Mictlan. (EDA: Alien Bodies)
