Phobos was the fifth release of the first series of The New Eighth Doctor Adventures.

- The idea of a god-like entity pushing its way through from another universe, feeding on emotions was explored in greater detail in BNA: Where Angels Fear and BNA: Twilight of the Gods.
- BFA: The Fearmonger also features an entity which fed off of fear.
