Pippa Holland, born Pippa Dudoin, was the daughter of Oxford College lecturer Christine Holland and the French scientist Pierre-Yves Dudoin. After Pippa's parents were divorced, her mother changed her daughter's name from Pippa Dudoin to Pippa Holland.
