Dellah was a resource-poor planet on the fringes of Earth Empire space. It was home to St. Oscar's University in the late 26th century. Bernice Summerfield lived on Dellah for several years in the 2590s. The planet was near Urtilaxian.
Astronomical data
Dellah was an M-type (Earth-like) planet orbiting a single star. It had no moons. It had temperate seas of roughly the same composition as those on Earth. (PROSE: Ship of Fools) Dellah was mostly covered by temperate oceans and dotted with islands. Its largest body of water, the Silvasic Sea, took up most of the temperate zone (between 23.5°S and 66.5°S) in Dellah's southern hemisphere. (PROSE: Dry Pilgrimage) A day on Dellah was 26 hours long. (PROSE: Mean Streets)
Known landmasses
- The Marek Dha landmass and an associated island chain, called the Marek Dha islands. These islands, many of them private, were dotted with luxurious homes for the very very wealthy, such as industrialist Marcus Krytell. (PROSE: Ship of Fools)
- Chain of several hilly islands in the northern hemisphere, home to St. Oscar's University and Dellah's only spaceport. (PROSE: Oh No It Isn't!)
History
St. Oscar's University was set up by the Sultan of Tashwari to remove the planet Dellah from the theatre of war. (PROSE: Oh No It Isn't!) Bernice Summerfield joined the university in 2593. (PROSE: The Dying Days)
In 2595, the All-High Gods took over Dellah, driving the inhabitants into a religious fury. Some inhabitants escaped to such planets as Thanaxos. (PROSE: The Mary-Sue Extrusion) Dellah was lost in an alternative dimension, which had been the origins of the All-High Gods, proven to be the dimension of the Ferutu. (PROSE: Twilight of the Gods)
