The Supreme Alliance was a 51st century political coalition or nation opposed to the Icelandic Alliance. Apparently a brutal regime, Magnus Greel served as the Supreme Alliance's Minister of Justice. It pioneered time travel through use of the Zygma beam, though this eventualy turned out to be a dead end.
During the 51st century the Supreme Alliance brought down the Icelandic Alliance by having its commissioner killed by the Peking Homunculus, an event which nearly precipitated World War VI. The Supreme Alliance itself fell after the Filipino Army advanced onReykjavik, an event the Doctor said he witnessed.
Greel escaped used a time cabinet to 19th century China (DW: The Talons of Weng-Chiang).
