Jeremy Bentham was the original associate editor of Doctor Who Weekly. Almost all text in Weekly was written by Bentham. It was in part due to the overwhelming workload this caused that the publication switched to a monthly schedule. (MM VHS 47)

He wrote the reference book Doctor Who: The Early Years and contributed to Doctor Who: A Celebration by Peter Haining.

He was also co-founder of the British Doctor Who Appreciation Society, founded in May 1976.
