It's highly likely she could be regarded as a companion, as she has apparently been with the Doctor many times.
- She is on the Companions of the Eleventh Doctor list, which makes sense since she knew The Doctor in-story but offscreen when she was introduced in A Good Man Goes to War, has been involved in more than one adventure, and has taken a ride on the TARDIS.
