The parallell Torchwood organisation developed energy weapons that fired a chain of lightning at a fixed point. These chunky blaster weapons were used to repel the invading Cybermen as they could literally blow them to peices. However when the humans and Cybermen formed an alliance to fight the Daleks the cybermen armed themselves with energy blasters as well. The Doctor adapted the guns slightly so that they could temporarily disable a daleks shield and weaponry. However the daleks soon overcame this and the weapons ultimatley became useless against them. Yvonne Hartman, in her converted form turned against the Cybermen and used an energy blaster to stop them from returning to the parallell world. Years later new and improved blasters were developed that could destroy daleks. | |||
