Direct Action was the third short story in the Short Trips anthology Short Trips: The Centenarian. It was written by Ian Mond. It featured the Fourth Doctor.
Summary
It is 1915, and time-travelling film producer Jack Holbine is assigned with the task of documenting the life of Edward Grainger, now a fighter in World War 1, but his assigment proves unsuccesful, and desperate for infomation, he sends Edward on a danger mission to Cape Helles, but when his actions leave Edward in the gravest of dangers, he joins forces with a face from Edward's past, a man who knows Edward in the past and the future... the Doctor.
