A Paintball gun is a handheld firearm designed to fire small spherical casings filled with coloured paint as projectiles. These shots cause minimal damage to humans and the guns are developed for competitive sports involving paintball fights. Wilfred Mott having been in the army wanted to fight back at the daleks and was foolish enough to try and use a paintball gun to blind one of them. Sylvia noble warned him against this but he refused to listen and confronted one of the daleks. Wilf got a direct hit on the creatures eye-stalk but the Daleks shield allowed it to vapourise the paint in seconds. As punishment for their hostility the dalek prepared to exterminate Wilf and Sylvia but Rose Tyler blasted the Dalek just before it had the chance.

The paintball gun is a handheld weapon created on Earth that fires small paintballs as projectiles. Wilfred Mott used the weapon to attempt to blind a Dalek by shooting it in the eye stalk. However, the device was useless when the Dalek vaporised the paint, clearing his vision again. But it was destroyed. (DW: The Stolen Earth)
