Alexander Siddig, sometimes credited as Siddig El Fadil (born 21 November 1965), is a Sudanese-born English actor. He voiced several characters for Big Finish Productions, such as Rosto in two consecutive audio dramas, Sisters of the Flame and The Vengeance of Morbius, both part of the New Eighth Doctor Adventures. Other Big Finish audios in which he has appeared include The Wreck of the Titan, Legend of the Cybermen and 1001 Nights.
Siddig is best known for portraying Dr. Julian Bashir in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, appearing throughout the entire seven season run, he also directed two episodes. One of the first DS9 episodes to focus on the character of Bashir, "Melora", paired Siddig with guest star Daphne Ashbrook, who had also appeared opposite the Eighth Doctor when she played Grace Holloway in the 1996 TV Movie.
