::It didn't, frankly. Certainly not in the episode. And I never took away from the Long Game that ol' Max was actually being directly "enslaved" by the Daleks. He was a part of their plan, sure, but there's no explicit connection between the Daleks and him, I don't think. But maybe there's some obscure prose story out there. - It didn't, frankly. Certainly not in the episode. And I never took away from the Long Game that ol' Max was actually being directly "enslaved" by the Daleks.
