Colonel Joshua was a human who had been partially Cyberconverted.

Joshua and his crew landed the Acolyte on the P'tarr planet. They hoped to exploit the planet's intelligence-giving plants.

Joshua believed that he and his men were superior because of their cyber technology and that humans and Cybermen were meant to be reunited. He ate some of the P'tarr fruit, and saw the horror of what he and his men had become. This disturbed him so much he killed himself. (PROSE: One Bad Apple)
