* This story refers to the events of when the Earth is transported to the Medusa Cascade that took place in May - June 2009, based on novel information, which would place it in 2010; however, controversy errupted with [[TV]]: ''[[The End of Time (TV story)|The End of Time]]'' taking place on Christmas 2009, placing this story in Easter 2009, before the Medusa Cascade incident. Unfortunately, there are many reasons this story cannot take place after ''The End of Time'', some of which are Naismith's status and the worldwide recession. The writers or producers have not addressed the dating issue. Some fans believe what date novels give should only be taken with a grain of salt if it disturbs on-screen continuity.

2009 or 2010?

I know we had an unfinished conversation three years ago. It can be found here. Unless it was brought up at the forums, there never seemed to be a consensus. I noticed that, at the moment, the setting in listed as 2010 in the infobox. The page itself says the following:

  • This story refers to the events of when the Earth is transported to the Medusa Cascade that took place in May - June 2009, based on novel information, which would place it in 2010; however, controversy errupted with TV: The End of Time taking place on Christmas 2009, placing this story in Easter 2009, before the Medusa Cascade incident. Unfortunately, there are many reasons this story cannot take place after The End of Time, some of which are Naismith's status and the worldwide recession. The writers or producers have not addressed the dating issue. Some fans believe what date novels give should only be taken with a grain of salt if it disturbs on-screen continuity.

So... If the decision was already made, please say so here and what the conclusion was. If we still haven't reached a conclusion, then we need to discuss it all over again. SmallerOnTheOutside 15:00, February 3, 2013 (UTC)
