Geoffrey Durham, otherwise known as the Great Soprendo coached Sylvester McCoy in magic for The Greatest Show in the Galaxy. He helped with the sleight-of-hand and other magic trick scenes. He is notable for being the first magic consulter involved in a production of a Doctor Who story since The Talons of Weng-Chiang in 1977.
