Does anyone know what's up with the two different covers for this novel? My copy has a much more austere-looking Troughton with more soldiers in the background (not the one currently posted here). I can't find any reference anywhere as to why there are two images. Were they both published or was one a draft? :You're right!
:I just grabbed my copy off the shelf and Troughton does look older (in-keeping with the novel's timeline) and as you say more austere.
:I uploaded the original cover that was on the article (though can't remember where I grabbed it from). I've uploaded an image of the actual cover and added a note to the article noting the different covers and placed the original down next to the note. Thanks for pointing this out. --[[User:Tangerineduel|Tangerineduel]] / '''[[User talk:Tangerineduel|talk]]''' 14:36, February 12, 2013 (UTC)

Does anyone know what's up with the two different covers for this novel? My copy has a much more austere-looking Troughton with more soldiers in the background (not the one currently posted here). I can't find any reference anywhere as to why there are two images. Were they both published or was one a draft? Birchl 00:50, February 12, 2013 (UTC)

You're right!
I just grabbed my copy off the shelf and Troughton does look older (in-keeping with the novel's timeline) and as you say more austere.
I uploaded the original cover that was on the article (though can't remember where I grabbed it from). I've uploaded an image of the actual cover and added a note to the article noting the different covers and placed the original down next to the note. Thanks for pointing this out. --Tangerineduel / talk 14:36, February 12, 2013 (UTC)
