The Poem Girl was a girl on a screen who recited a poem about the Beast on a vator in the Starship UK when Timmy tried to use that vator to get to London. He was sent down to the Beast. Whether or not the girl was alive at the time is unknown. (TV: The Beast Below)
The Poem
The following poem was recited by the girl on a recording in an elevator:
A horse and a man, above, below,
One has a plan but both must go,
Mile after mile, above, beneath,
One has a smile and one has teeth,
Though the man above might say hello,
Expect no love from the beast below.
Behind the scenes
- The Poem Girl is assumed to be an homage to the Test Card Girl, who appeared on a test card used on television in the UK and elsewhere for more than four decades, usually while there was no on-air programming.
